Player interviews are even more boring than usual because they say the same things over and over.

Can't speak to that, but you know how when teams do coaching changes, they usually go for the opposite of the last guy? Yeah. The emotional ups and downs with Bednar are about as drastic as the Saskatchewan plains where he's from. Can't say the same for Roy.

I haven't seen the comments, but Roy being Roy is not surprising. He *mostly* keeps it in check these days (or he did while he was coaching here), but when something sets him off it generally ends poorly.

I mean.... it's the Avs. It's not like they're actively thinking out there. And when they *are* actively thinking is when we run into our biggest problems, esp on PP. Instincts take some time to establish and overwrite. I think they're on the right track. Finally.

I don't think that's a factor in their thinking. You want the PP1 guys to have as much time on the ice as they can handle. We have two HHoFers on that unit of 5. Cutting down their time so Sam Girard gets to touch the puck is a poor strategy.

The split is fine. PP1 just needs to move their ass

I've liked what I've seen in the past couple weeks with the willingness to shoot. It's definitely not a talent issue. Just gotta break these guys of the "it's gotta be the prefect shot or come off Nate's stick" mentality. Just relax, stop thinking, and shoot the damn puck

I am not a lawyer, but I am gathering that when there is a grand jury, showing them the indictment is 101 level layering. It's just *what you do*, maybe even what you do *first*.

If they can't handle the basics, I don't want them handling anything else.

I think that's ideal and should be the goal, but it's worth remembering that every team in the NHL has a weakness somewhere. You don't have to be perfect to win the Cup. Just gotta out strength every other imperfect team.

Not going to deny that the PP was a huge problem last year. But there were some other issues at play, like the emotional stuff with Landy coming back and the new guys adjusting etc that we've already seen them iron out so far this season.

I see the power play process improving now too. We'll see.

Yeah, but that one seems to be improving. We're up to 23 of 32 at least, and the process has been looking better recently.
