I get how opening without any concessions is infuriating but think people are overlooking the magnitude of what’s about to happen when the discharge petition passes.

I agree if they were gonna cave maybe they should’ve done it sooner, but it takes time to determine what’s the best available deal. This one sucks, and I don’t fault anyone who’s mad about it. But opening the government represents the potential for ending this presidency.

Reopening the government is not a failure if it triggers the release of the Epstein files. That will end this administration. It’s just whether it happens quickly or a little less quickly.
