The problem is that mainstream media repeatedly fails to understand post-truth politicians. I wouldn't be so dismissive of the problem. We are losing big time to these buffoons and a big reason is the media's failure to understand what they are up against.

I think we heard Vlad saying two very different things. What I took away was that BBC totally blew it, and that they brought this onto themselves by not doing proper reporting on a post-truth politician.

It's also misleading to use this case to indicate that Trump did not incite violence in that speech.

Vlad addresses that as well. BBC shouldn't have done that, but that does not mean that Trump did not, in fact, incite insurrection.

Because how do you report it when Trump expresses all possible viewpoints in the same speech? "You should fight, and you should be peaceful, but you should also fight, and maybe force is necessary, but you should be peaceful, and you need to fight fiercely to save your country."

I think it's a rather liberal use of terminology to call that a no-fly zone. Such a zone would also ban the use of Ukrainian aviation as well as civilian traffic. If we are just talking about the West engaging on the side of Ukraine, then that is not a no-fly zone.
