“Shutting down the escalator” is a pretty shitty “attack.” On a moving escalator, he’s at best a slow-moving duck, and I’ve seen children hit those with a half-busted BB gun at a carnival, so I’d think it’d be a piece of cake for an actual sniper.

To wit:
as someone who has been advocating for court reform, including court expansion, both personally and professionally, for coming on a decade, I have (1) hope this is right; and (2) no longer think expansion is adequate. I legit think at least some of them should be in jail

Forcing people (especially those doing everything they can to jump through every stupid hoop thrown at them) and their families to take their chances with the fascist gauntlet in order to do “what they’re supposed to” is cruelty refined to an art form. We’ve failed as a society and as humans.
