Hold on, are they only using genAI for VO, or is that just the only thing they publicly admitted? Because the Steam disclosure doesn't even mention VO, it says that they used "AI-based tools to assist with content creation". Which could mean textures, text, whatever. It's suspiciously broad.

The article didn't mention where they were getting their data, so I assumed the worst. But I did some digging, and nope, this is one of the only "AI" projects I've seen that's completely above-board.

I don't understand how Nintendo can release the first trailer for a new game in a massive property, on incredibly impressive new hardware, and then have this texture work in the literal first shot. Like...it's so far from release, you're allowed to bullshot your water texture. Esp in a cinematic.

Look at this cutie. Taken on one of our favourite hiking trails on Vancouver Island, whiskey jacks are a constant presence. And I adore them.
