True. They've always been about selling plastic crap, but it used to feel like the people that made it loved plastic crap and the stupid stories we told with it. Now they couldn't care less about the product as long as it sells.

Nice analogy but it ignores that some people will just want the tomato soup and if the original restaurant is on fire, they may go to the very similar restaurant under new management around the corner for it. Some people wanted right wing politics but not the posh weirdos doing it.

Are these nerds getting free resin? Even ignoring the startup costs, it still costs like a bottle of resin for a unit of space marine knock offs and the resins starts at ~15 euro-bucks these days. It's a saving but it isn't that great considering there are also downsides.
