Build your own Sunny solar binoculars and see the April 8 eclipse in incredible detail! Or build your own Magic stargazing binoculars and bring back the stars! https://analogsky.co/
👀👀 wow, beautiful! Always wanted to try this material. Just for everyone else, keep in mind the high temp resistance in HTPLA kicks in after the part is annealed in an oven. Can't wait to see this one finished!

Head over to analogsky.co to learn more and get started. We have hardware and optics kits on the way to help you finish your build by April 8! And of course, after that you can still enjoy every sunny day during the 2024 solar maximum.

You can 3D print your own Sunny parts or order them from a service. The parts all fit on a Prusa3D Mini and print well in any PETG!

How do you get Sunny? By building it! Analog Sky has pioneered kitchen-table telescope and binocular-building to make it easy and fun. No power tools, just a hex wrench and detailed, step-by-step videos.

You can also attach a big shade to Sunny to keep you cool and protected from UV while you're viewing!

You get a handy built-in solar finder that makes aiming easy and fun.

Sunny lets you change eyepieces to zoom in and see sunspots, faculae, and granulation! With standard optics, Sunny can magnify up to 50x using any standard 1.25" or 2" telescope eyepieces.

Sunny mounts on a tripod for a stable, hands-free view. Its 90 degree angle means you don't have to strain your neck to look up. When you're comfortable, you see more and you look longer!

Sunny has safe, permanently-mounted solar filters of the highest quality. Why trust your eyes to something that's held on with friction or a rubber band?

Solar glasses don't magnify, solar binoculars usually only magnify a tiny amount, and telescopes are uncomfortable. If you want to experience the full beauty of a solar eclipse during the solar maximum-when the Sun is covered in sunspots-you need to zoom in!

It's a fun science project to do on your own or together with stargazers as young as 8! If you have a 3d printer, you can print your own parts. If you don't you can just order them online. Building your own stargazing equipment is the best way to begin a lifelong adventure in the sky.

Here's a quick phone snapshot through one of the eyepieces! This is from a heavily-light polluted suburban front yard, but you can still see hundreds of stars through Magic. We're centered on Messier 24, a part of the Milky Way that gets more stunning the further you get from the city.

Our hope is to bring stargazing to a new audience largely ignored by the amateur astronomy hobby: People who are enchanted by the night sky but don't necessarily know a lot about it yet! If you're not sure where in the sky to look, binoculars make it easy to find something beautiful.

Believe it or not, nobody really manufactures these, so we spent 7 years honing the design and a process to make it an easy and fun project at home. The smallest, least-expensive model called Magic launches first. It's super-portable and brings back the stars we've lost to light pollution!

What are stargazing binoculars you ask? They're binoculars made for looking up! So they're comfortable for your eyes and neck, hands-free and stable on a tripod, they zoom, use filters, have a laser pointer, and provide incredibly immersive views to anyone wherever you look.
