The pain level is way, way lower than it used to be for most people. And cheap as hell mini PCs are a big incentive for people to learn that need a new computer to just do random stuff.

Im less worried about Spanish speaking Catholics who at least have Pope Bob covering fire and the whole Vatican organization. It’s the thousands of hole in the wall, minding their own business Spanish speaking churches in strip malls and former stores who few may even notice are there or disappear

Answer is probably gonna be just Covid style ghosting the church building for awhile in places where churches with guns are extremely rare or not legal. There’s a likely target in the building my maker space is in and we’re trying to keep an eye peeled, but the place is already empty except Sundays.

I mean, I’m no book publisher, so I don’t really have numbers, but my impression as an audiobook listener is that romantasy has taken over the fantasy genre so completely it might be hard for someone just glancing at it to tell that’s almost all there is out there.

When one accepts the fact that nothing they can do will affect the decision of Texas voters, it’s a lot healthier. No hope, no fear. Entirely compatible with still believing they can fix their shit, but it is emphatically not our ahit to fix and can’t be.

Some friends and I used to say we were “nice assholes”, but I think “kind but not nice” works a lot better. A guy one fainted off his bike from heat exhaustion in front of me. As I was trying to staunch the blood and pull him off the egg frying blacktop there were more than a few swears.
