I super respect this! I just wrote a letter of rec for someone explicitly lauding the fact that they chose to take harder classes, even if they suffered a small GPA hit as a result. I don't think this will be held against someone in PhD applications!

Something just occurred to me: will this impact the Early Career Poster session? Typically, NINDS is heavily involved in organizing presentations from ENDURE students. There are more than 100 students planning to present.

I tweeted once about him and was immediately called out by our PR. They sat me down and told me they knew he was problematic but that he brought in too much donor money for us to say anything bad about him.
