Doing God's work (explaining to my coworkers that them commenting weird shit every time they see me eating a sweat treat is indicative that they might have an eating disorder. They really hated that so I guess I'll be able to eat in peace again)

I stopped following David Beckham on instagram and literally 3h after he posts the most stunning photoshoot he did for a Hugo Boss underwear campaign. I feel like this situation sums up my entire life.

I highlighted the most important part of yesterday’s Nature paper.

We’re in year six.

Can you please stop saying “during the pandemic” and “post-Covid”?

I hate surprises and grand gestures and I'm very upfront and transparent about it. It is relatively common for people to ignore me on this and then feel offended when I (predictably) react badly/rudely to their surprises. A canon event in my life.

Not me being in a work call where everyone except me is sick AGAIN and them asking me what is my secret just for me to repeat AGAIN that I still mask and take precautions to avoid covid (and others). The amount of times I have this exact convo with ppl who know I keep up with covid data is insane..

The fact that prime video now has ads and most movies are unavailable without a premium subscription and so many people are agreeing to pay for such a terrible service should be a case study in all business schools. It's diabolical.

The amount times where I find myself staring at a public bathroom door trying to understand if the weird/abstract symbol there is supposed to be a man or a woman is... concerning.

I'm giving letterboxd a try for the first time this year and the comments/reviews are all so unserious. I love it!
