I have zero idea what the solution is. And anyone know knows me knows I’m dealing with a lot of free floating anxiety right now in my own life so this may be my brain misfiring weirdly. But like oh god, I do not want rich weirdos in control of public transportation.

But like, please — can we please not have Peter Thiel or Elon Musk or some other weirdo billionaire bail them out because we all know they won’t do it just because.
They’ll do it to own and control the most powerful asset the NYC/Philly area has. What comes next, we don’t know. +

All three systems need trillions of dollars poured in to fix them or the NYC/Philly area is going to be crippled. That money isn’t coming from the Feds any time Trump is in office.
It’s probably way too much to put on the backs of taxpayers. So I get how private investors could look good. +
