Grandma/mama Patty had her brain biopsy today and while official results may take a few weeks, the preliminary results are that she has low grade germinal tumor.

Christmas day, there was no activity on the chat. Tom, F, G, and I visited P in the hospital. She's not a large woman, and she looks absolutely tiny in the hospital bed. She was feeding herself, though, which Tom says is a huge improvement from even the day before. Seems to be some mild aphasia (9)

They will likely do a biopsy in a few days if they can't determine more from the scans, then look more specifically at treatment options. They did say that an operation wouldn't be a likely option but radiation and some other newer non invasive therapy.

...I just met with the Neurosurgeon. There are apparently multiple spots on the brain. They are doing more scans to see if they can locate the source. They are also looking into the minor facial cancer [skin cancer removal] surgery she had earlier this year as a possible clue to the source.

A and D, I'm sorry to have to tell you this. I'm at the emergency room with mom(grandma). They are going to do blood work, CT scan, and an MRI I believe. She is very weak the past several days especially. She has a prolapsed bladder and has had trouble keeping weight on. The past (4)
