My therapist suggested I dig into work on "righteous anger" - a term I had only heard in my religious upbringing as a justification for shaming others for their transgressions. Instead, they recommended looking to the civil rights movement. I'm reading Grandmother's Hands now... any others?

I get that sentiment of misalignment - but what do we do when the bubbling up of rage is more toward the systems we live in? The choices others make toward injustice?

The insuppressible need to fight for others' humanity when it feels like the world is burning?

Thanks to therapy, I've worked the past 5 years to unpack the stories to learn what we all know from carefully crafted IG posts: anger is data that something is not aligned.
