City council budget meeting is this Monday! Meet by the Spirit of Detroit for a demonstration in support of #DoubleDDOT at 4PM (optional) and then public comment happens in the council meeting at 5 PM. We've already got some support from some council members, time to make it unanimous!!

We had a great lobby day in Lansing yesterday! We have to keep the pressure up but over 100 people came to Lansing to support more funding for buses!

I mean, my area doesn't even qualify for federal dollars often because we don't make the state/local match, even with a rare Dem trifecta. But that also means I take my wins where I can get them, I guess.

I hear you, and I support transit improvements everywhere, and I know it's a low bar all over the US, but from where I'm sitting here in Detroit, Minneapolis has it pretty good! I'm also deeply jealous of Minnesota's recentish VMT bill.

I actually lived almost exactly where your first DuPage County Google Maps screen was, in Lisle, and that was the nail in the coffin for me for ever living in a suburb again. Completely miserable place. I've never felt so trapped, even with access to a (shared) car.

It MATTERS, we just had a big win yesterday so we know our voices are being heard!!! But we need more funds to improve transit in Detroit and throughout the state!
