The real-life people in it, like Woodrow Wilson and Upton Sinclair, somehow manage to overthrow evil, even though they don't understand what's happening and they are not particularly good or likeable souls.

The BBC is too important an institution to be judged on its news coverage alone. It's kind of been forgotten that for most people, the BBC is things like EastEnders, Strictly, The Traitors, Call The Midwife, repeats of TOTP on BBC4, Later, David Bloody Attenborough... not THE NEWS-

I genuinely think it will. The county where I work had a teenager running social services. He has stepped down now. I think about 25% of Reform councillors have resigned already

I went in to Waterstones in Cov to buy something to read on the plane and I had to buy it although it was too heavy to take with me (I bought a paperback of Beautyland which was just right for the plane)
