Ladybird is the only browser not downstream chromium or downstream Firefox and it’s not ready just yet. Also wouldn’t use software made by Brendan Eich (Brave) for a bunch of reasons.

Like maybe in the “quality” settings there could be a toggle to filter out slop.

When Blender finally comes to iPad (assuming that project isn’t abandoned before completion) it will happily use all the power Apple can put in them but consumers will still be better off running the same thing on any computer.

Come for the quaternion banter stay for the cats.

Scented trash bags also repel people. You can’t make trash smell better by putting it in a scented trash bag.

That one strikes me as kinda a lot for being some cut plastic panels. Guess it’s a low volume thing?

What is your software of choice for mechanical design?

Last time they had Daft Punk holding the movie together despite the utter mess the plot was. Also at least a Jeff Bridges appearance. This time we just get the aesthetics of Tron slapped on a generic action film core. Bleh.

Not even a *war* crime because we’re not at war. It’s just murder which is a crime.

Would personally like browsers to support their own native implementation of signals so the frameworks don’t need to do as much work on that. Runner up which will never happen is more browsers supporting WebSerial which would make programming microcontrollers from a browser possible.

Ladybird or bust. Don’t just be a Chromium frame.

I literally just went down this rabbit hole. I bought an off the shelf drive and flashed it myself. It wasn’t actually that hard but finding all the information was an adventure.

I have a feeling that regardless of the legality of it, if the tariffs get overturned one way, they’ll just reimplement the same tariffs a different illegal way. Sure that too may be overturned but it runs the clock out and can be done again and again forever. It’s like the PFAS litigation.

Regardless of whether there is voting again, it’s horrifying that 41% of voters could approve. There were ~174M registered voters in 2024. How could 71 million people come to approve of principles so deeply un-American? How could we have such a catastrophic failure of civic education?

Does rust have any proper GUI frameworks yet?

Just cleared. Apparently it was an AI generated slop threat called from the library that created a massive police response. Classes canceled for remainder of the day.

Can’t wait to hear all about it. A Marlin machine simulator sounds so sick.

I think smart stuff is decently future proof as long as all functionality is local network only, it doesn’t require their app to setup / initialize, it still works as the dumb version of itself if local network is down / batteries are dead, and crucially you run everything through Home Assistant.
