Whoa, that’s impressive!! I think I’m in the top 50 on the starter ship last I checked. I don’t usually chase leaderboard scores in games but Sektori is so good, I can’t help myself!

I loved part one! (I watched the early access vid). This coincides perfectly with my replay of the game that just wrapped up recently. I hope there's some discussion of the music. I started checking out Sea Power these past few weeks and they're awesome; I was really missing out!

I had this happen last night in chapter 4 and was kind of shocked; I only missed one goal (the application fee) and didn’t realize there would be a game over. I heard there are multiple endings so I just thought the game would continue and it would affect the ending.

Thanks for sharing, what an excellent review. I definitely think the friction is core to the experience and it’s super impressive how the mechanics and challenge also help tell the story. I can also understand the criticisms though, as accessibility is a noble goal in games.

It’s also A LOT more challenging than the first game, which is a bold move. I’m surprised with how much friction there is in such a high profile release but it matches the aesthetic and themes and works in its favor.

Bought it based on your recommendation and played a couple of hours this week - it seems really neat! Love the 8-way firing and it feels challenging without being unfair. We need more games in this genre that lean into the shooting and sci-fi style of Metroid!
