I like video games.
Sektori is awesome! It feels like the successor to Geometry Wars that I've been waiting for my whole life. I'm sure I'll go way down on the leaderboard soon as more people play the game, but it's still cool to see my username so high up there right now!

Hollow Knight: Silksong true ending has been achieved! That final boss was such a rush, took me literally 3 hours of attempts. I think this is going to go down as an all-time favorite of mine, though I totally understand the divisiveness. Silksong can be truly punishing at times.

I entered Act 3 of Hollow Knight: Silksong this evening so I'm sure there's plenty more left to experience, but I took a few moments to write a review on Steam. I adore this game.

I don’t think this song kicking in had quite the emotional heft Hideo Kojima intended since I was carrying way too much cargo. 😂

I rolled credits on Blue Prince last night but there's so much more to discover. I'm practically vibrating with excitement this morning at some of the post-game secrets I just discovered. (And kudos to my wife who's an excellent puzzle-solver and has played through most of it with me!).

I'm very early into Assassin's Creed Shadows, but I can tell this is going to be my "I'd like to play more of this game but I can't stop taking screenshots" GOTY.

The Steam Deck has been such a game changer for me. When I come home from work I'm much more likely to sit on the couch and load something up on the Deck than I am to go to my desktop.

I just beat Arco and that's definitely going on my GOTY list. The real-time/turn-based hybrid combat is some of the best of the year and it's impressive how the game presents in-depth characterizations and emotional gut punches with such a subdued, sparse script.

King's Field has been vanquished! 💪It certainly wasn't the easiest game to get into and it runs really poorly, but boy did I fall in love with it nonetheless. I can see some of that Souls magic in there, warts and all. Time to jump into the sequel!

The Balatro demo alone might be my favorite game of the year so far. I'm going to spend SO much time playing roguelike poker in 2024.

I happen to be playing two separate climbing games - A Highland Song and Jusant, both of which are excellent - and I'm blown away by their visuals. Incredible vistas every few minutes. I keep getting distracted taking screenshots!

Cocoon, on the other hand, didn't challenge too much in its puzzle design, but it absolutely NAILS its tone and atmosphere. An audiovisual wonder. (2/2)

I beat two fantastic games recently. Chants of Sennaar is a very novel puzzle game that revolves around deciphering various languages in a Babel-style tower. I love a game that leans into anthropological themes and it constantly made me feel clever. (1/2)

I beat Blasphemous 2 today and it's easily one of my favorite games of the year (aside from a crazy difficulty spike at the end that sours the closing hours). Top notch Metroidvania level design with some great weapons and platforming. And the art and tone are one-of-a-kind.

I've been playing Void Stranger on my Steam Deck this week. It seems like it has a potentially WILD rabbit hole of cryptic secrets/mechanics. Might be a bit too cryptic for me, but it's still a wonderfully designed Sokobon-style puzzle game. 207 floors completed at this point.

I beat Pikmin 4 today. Seems like there’s a lot of post-game content but I’m ready to take a break (especially after getting 100% in each area). I would have preferred a tighter 10-12 hour experience, though Oatchi and upgrades were great additions to the core gameplay loop.
