Publication order is best at the point I've gotten to. That'd be Farseer, Liveship, Tawny Man, Rain Wilds, Fitz and the Fool

She's my second favourite author. Reading the second Tawny Man book rn and it's brilliant

Only absolute peak from here on out

Ship of Magic is one of my favourite books of all time
Good luck, it's brilliant from cover-to-cover

For me, it wasn't just sometimes, it was the whole damn book
(Bit of an exaggeration on my part, but whatever)

Thank you for writing such a phenomenal series in these two, I can't imagine they do anything but stick with me forever
November 1, 2025 at 3:36 PM
and seeing these characters interact once again makes me so happy. And everything that's new is just as amazing.
Every section of this book got me incredibly emotional multiple times, I can't wait to see where this goes in the future.
Also, pain.

This book is absolutely brilliant. I was eagerly awaiting reading this trilogy so I could see Fitz again, and nothing about this book disappointed. Every old thread from Farseer (and even some from Liveship) brought back into this book felt so natural,

This is shorter than Sharp Ends, but I liked it quite a bit more. The first three stories are quite good and feel really in line with AoM and its overall vibe, while having interesting structures. The final story is quite easily the best Abercrombie has written

but that's because the ending was so insanely good that I can't really think of much else right now.
Not my favourite Abercrombie, nor my second, but third isn't a bad place to be for one of my favourite series of all time

Some of the best moments in the whole series here, and solidifying The Age of Madness as my favourite section of The First Law.
I'll bring this to a close here because there's not much I can say about this immediately after finishing it that's not riddled with spoilers,

28. @joeabercrombie.com I've finally finished the First Law, and the ending was no disappointment. Near perfect ending to the series, actually, bringing together so much of what I love about it to a perfect close.

The second half of Lord of Emperors is one of the best things I've ever experienced. The last two chapters and the epilogue- especially the epilogue- being all incredibly breathtaking in their own right, in a way that I can't really find the words to express.

27. I won't lie, through the first half of this book, I thought I would like it a little less than StS. I still really loved it, it was too good for me not to- I was just frustrated at the lesser amount of Crispin POVs and that the first half of StS hit more emotional beats.

Reread this today on a whim. T'was pretty good. I love the world of Threnody and the Forests are a great setting and atmosphere for the story. I quite like Silence and William Ann as characters.

Quite possibly my favourite First Law book. I don’t know, and we’ll see with hindsight, but for now I’m inclined to say it is. Absolutely incredible from the beginning, but that second half is something else man

The Way of Kings has my favourite cover of all time, so I'm in awe every time I see it.

My first GGK did not disappoint, safe to say. Potential new favourite author in the making, but we shall see.
