This book is absolutely brilliant. I was eagerly awaiting reading this trilogy so I could see Fitz again, and nothing about this book disappointed. Every old thread from Farseer (and even some from Liveship) brought back into this book felt so natural,

This is shorter than Sharp Ends, but I liked it quite a bit more. The first three stories are quite good and feel really in line with AoM and its overall vibe, while having interesting structures. The final story is quite easily the best Abercrombie has written

28. @joeabercrombie.com I've finally finished the First Law, and the ending was no disappointment. Near perfect ending to the series, actually, bringing together so much of what I love about it to a perfect close.

The second half of Lord of Emperors is one of the best things I've ever experienced. The last two chapters and the epilogue- especially the epilogue- being all incredibly breathtaking in their own right, in a way that I can't really find the words to express.

Reread this today on a whim. T'was pretty good. I love the world of Threnody and the Forests are a great setting and atmosphere for the story. I quite like Silence and William Ann as characters.

Quite possibly my favourite First Law book. I don’t know, and we’ll see with hindsight, but for now I’m inclined to say it is. Absolutely incredible from the beginning, but that second half is something else man

Amazing, amazing book.
One of the best Prologues I've ever read, perfect start to the book.
Really beautiful scenes throughout, made better by the incredible writing style, which in one book has become one of my favourite writing styles oat.

23. A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness
It took me 2 hours to read this book
Within those two hours is one of the most uniquely amazing reading experiences I've ever had
Go into this blind, the less you know, the better
Easy 5 Stars

22. Warrior of the Altaii by Robert Jordan
Quite easily my least favourite book by Jordan. Felt nothing for the whole thing

This is my most re-read book of all time, probably. I was worried I wouldn't like this on another re-read. Thankfully, it's still a good book, even if I don't love it NEARLY as much as I used to (I knew that wouldn't happen) and it's just the last few that've been awful.

Review I wrote is way too long, putting a link below to share my thoughts. Very incoherent, I might warn. www.goodreads.com/review/show/...

18. Deadhouse Gates by Steven Erikson I really, really liked this book. There were some plotlines I loved from the get-go, and some I grew to enjoy later in the book (and by that I mean REALLY late). Genuinely some amazing moments in here, and also some that didn't land for me

17. Isles of the Emberdark by Brandon Sanderson
This book has one of the best starts to any Sanderson Work, and has some of his best writing- as well as making Dusk an unexpected favourite. The rest is still really good, but does not quite live up to the beginning.

16. A Little Hatred by Joe Abercrombie
AoM starts off with a bang, and all the old AND new characters are brilliantly written in this book. I don't think I'm as enamoured with the characters as I was by the end of TBI, but that is a VERY high bar.
I can't wait for the rest

15. Hunter X Hunter Arc 1: Hunter Exam Arc
Quite liked this one, by the end of this I quite like the characters and am really intrigued in a good amount of them, and the overall plot is pretty interesting so far. It got really good towards the end, and can't wait to keep going

13. Ship of Magic by Robin Hobb
From the beginning, this book was amazing. I loved seeing Hobb write third person and the characters were amazing as usual. The ending was phenomenal too

8. Enies Lobby Arc of One Piece
Took me long enough to get here... each time I imagine this series can't get any better, it one-ups itself.
5/5. And the rating's not changing any time soon
