If you thought Trump was Marie Antoinette saying to the hungry "let them eat cake" or a partying Gatsby-era rich guy indifferent to the hungry, it's worse than that. He's now openly defying a court order, refusing to release SNAP benefits to stick it to Dems...more than willing to let people starve.

New York City’s first official Pride parade was held the next year, starting from the Stonewall Inn and marching up Sixth Avenue. In celebration of the uprising, June was designated LGBTQ Pride Month. In 2019, the NYPD apologized for discrimination against LGBTQ+ people. /end

Within days, groups such as the Gay Liberation Front were formed. These groups worked to keep the momentum going and galvanize the LGBTQ+ community into action. Thanks to these efforts, the Stonewall Riots ultimately lead to increased visibility and activism for LGBTQ+ rights worldwide. /3
