Thankful this Golden Retriever Day (which is every day, if we’re honest) and appreciating our sweet Jolene! I had surgery a couple weeks ago and she hasn’t left my side. She’s even restrained her natural glee to be gentle with me. She’s a very, very good girl and we’re so lucky.

Watched this one tonight and it was sooooooo good! Highly recommend.
I had an in-person meeting that day, & got champagne on the way home for us to properly celebrate the vote certification. Finally, after all that mess. “They’re raiding the Capitol.” We opened the bottle. I couldn’t sleep until Congress finally finished. I foolishly thought we were thru the worst.

Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter taught us many things about faith, service, and love. I love that he was so deeply flawed, made so many mistakes and terrible decisions as a politician and a president, and held many positions I strongly disagreed with. Yet all decent people respect him, for his character.
