OH! So I wasn't imagining it a few weeks back, Microsoft really did fuck up PS4/5 controllers in an update and Rewired had to update to *checks notes* not use Windows Gaming Input because it was misreporting *checks notes* their main competitors controllers.

For SOLAS 128 neither delta or fixed time steps worked because of dodginess with floating point arithmetic or alt tabbing desyncing things from the music which broke EVERYTHING.
I ended up tying everything to the PCM sample values of the backing track instead which was mad and worked really well 🤣

Do smaller indies/devs still prefer to work in a fixed framerate? It used to be prevalent in my circles. I felt like not many were working with delta timing, which I guess makes more sense if you're actually working at a pixel resolution for the codebase as well
