Ken Dryden wrote in the Atlantic that Canadians will need to be more than just “anti-American” They “need to be defiantly Cdn.” Gretzky has failed that test of defiance. If he isn’t willing to stand up for the country that catapulted him to superstardom, I’m fine with watching his records fall.
