Yea def much shorter than expected. I5 turns into a mess when there's a total eclipse in the vicinity though 🤣

I think things will get more expensive soon for obvious political reasons, especially since we import most of our chips. Probably the time to build is now. Me personally I'm buying a few hard drives so that I can store lots of data.

Yk what we take those. Dews were too high that day the AC in our truck was colder than the dew point so all our lenses got condensed on the second we went outside LOL

True. When I was first learning data/ml stuff some years ago everyone was using pip and no one was really stressing the importance of venv. Thus, it was really easy to mess up your global env. It likely wasn't an issue with pip itself but rather a lack of proper education which I was upset over.

LET'S GOO NOW I CAN CITE THIS HAPPILY IN MY PROJECT

Not sure what it was before pip but pip itself is pretty horrible. Now there's a lot more tools out there. I think poetry has potential, especially for ppl that are used to npm. I'll probably stick to my one massive environment.yml file until it fails me though 😭

Oops, I guess gifs don't quite work yet. But, this subsidence can stunt the aggregation of updrafts, keeping storms small. This may be overcome by the presence of strong upslope flow, we will have to see.

Tomorrow and Saturday, first the trof pretty far away, and next, once it gets close, NM seems to be in a right exit region (favoring sinking motion), and the trof stalls out. Essentially, the synoptic forcing for ascent is very weak.
October 18, 2024 at 4:11 AM
On the synoptic scale, with the assumption that winds aloft are fastest, it isnt the presence of a trof which suggests rising motion, but rather the *movement* along with other things like planetary vorticity advection or jet quadrant (left exit) which delineate cyclonic vorticity advection.

I just do the one thing they tell you not to do and have one environment.yml that I pass around all my projects LOL
