Needless to say, Turning Point would not be doing this if some white-but-non-American person got the gig. Adele, say. And I doubt they would even be doing this if the halftime show consisted of a slate of K-Pop bands singing mostly in Korean. This is specifically an anti-Latino, anti-Spanish thing.

This eldritch horror is supposed to be a seal. The aesthetic of old-school Disney, which has been preserved in current kids’ shows like Mickey Mouse clubhouse, veers into unsettling territory kind of a lot.
