Great article! I am a big Legler fan. I remember the 1996 three-point contest like it was yesterday. He did great the next year as well, losing in the final round to Steve Kerr.

I'm not sure how much of an influence his mother (Mira Nair) was, but she is a generational storyteller. Anyone who has watched "Salaam Bombay", "Mississippi Masala" and "Monsoon Wedding" will know.
