Very possible. I hate leaf blowers in general so that's honestly most of my gripe and less about the timing.

Yep, young GS-9 fed chiming in here to agree. The vote was a bit of a crapshoot either way, but I would weather a longer shutdown if it meant there was a better chance that so many people wouldn't be priced out of their healthcare. A "promise" on a future ACA vote just isn't good enough.

Listen to Mamdani last night.

"We will prove that there is no problem too large for government to solve and no concern too small for it to care about."

Fuck yes. That is the democratic socialism I believe in.

Guessing a Japanese giant salamander (Andrias japonicus) since I think Sarah is in Japan right now? @sarahmackattack.bsky.social can confirm

It was most likely a mudpuppy (Necturus maculosus) based on location. People see them swimming around under frozen lakes like that, they're very cool. Don't get as large as a Japanese giant salamander or a hellbender but they're one of our larger salamanders in North America!

Too funny.... I think I'll shoot my own posters, though.
Today's view, beautiful hike/walk at Goat Marsh...on the last of the sunny days for a while here in the Pacific Northwet.
