People who work to make change happen low-key have to be optimists. You have to believe the future you are working towards will happen. Otherwise what's the point?

i didn't think of it as harmful because i only used it in reference to myself. same goes for other hurtful words.

I've never used those words with hate in my heart but i always think about my friend when i slip up.
they shouldn't need to defend themselves or live in fear of it, especially around me

i used to use it a lot when i was a kid.
my friend asked me not to use it around her cuz her sister had a mental disorder.
first time using that word was a problem for me. it made me think about the kind of people that would use that word against her.
i legit didn't even think it could be harmful.
