...and with a shovel to bury them. This is why we need park rangers. 😅

Speak out. Share your voice. Tell everyone you know in-person and on social what is happening. Go to protests. Sign petitions. Call elected officials. Bug those in charge as much as possible. Get layers and civil rights non-profits involved. Have meetings with city hall. Put ads in the paper. Etc.

You know I'm on your side...right?? I don't agree with what's being done and fully support protests. Ideally, not through vandalism.

Chalk can stain, I'm not worried about the chalk. I'm talking about it escalating into perm damage. We need people to speak out, advocate, demand the inclusivity that should be normalized in 2025. I mean damn, we survived a pandemic. We lost enough humans. We don't need more hate or violence.

The NPS isn't doing this, they had a TON of website pages on LGBTQ and more. The ones responsible are the ones in charge now taking over agencies by force. There is a huge coalition of resistance, trying to stop this.

I am a former NPS federal employee, intern and volunteer. I temporarily left due to childcare and health issues from a new baby. My family may be losing our income, we're a federal employee family. I support the NPS and its inclusivity.

No, but it opens the door for worse forms of vandalism. How long until a non-LGBTQ person destroys a place like this just because of their beliefs?

It is and should be. If we all become complacent, they win.

They are, it's just not right to vandalize a national park. I completely get the message here and am fine with it, I'm saying it risks encouraging other forms of vandalism.

Are any of these the same as those fighting the CA fires? If so, needs to be highly publicized. Maybe that'll help get people to pay attention and take action. It's an example of the real dangers here. It's not just public lands, it's homes and businesses.

NPS didn't do this. It's those who now have control of the systems and the employees making this change. Protect the national parks. Don't deface them physically. Use your voices and speak out! Bug those in charge so they have to listen and take action. Be cicadas!!

7. Support the federal employees you know. This is a hard time for them.

6. Get outside and enjoy federal lands. This is the middle of the list, we know you will need rejuvenation. Our parks, forests, and refuges are special places. Go fishing, hiking, bird-watching, or just for a drive.
