I had the opportunity to put together a book display this month in the @dexinst.bsky.social (title: 'Threads through Time')! It's based on depictions of clothing in the historic book collection 📚It will be on display until this Saturday, 22 November

It was great to visit the @brlsi.bsky.social over the past two days. I got to look at an impressive set of nineteenth-century annual reports and other institutional archival materials. I was very grateful to receive the Rob Randall bursary which made this research visit possible!! ⭐️📚

Came across an obscure local satire serial that the @dexinst.bsky.social was subscribed to for a few years in the 1880s. Some of the members were not pleased about its presence in the reading room!

It was great to help out with Schools' Enrichment Week at @dexinst.bsky.social 🔍📚 today the year 10's were tasked with finding parallels between 19thC media and the media of today! There were lots of interesting discussions around scandel, fake news and clickbait 📲

The location for the conference @bclivingmuseum.bsky.social was a massive bonus! The chip shop dinner and the carnival was definitely a highlight 🎪

Thoroughly enjoyed attending #SHSConf2025. Such fascinating and impactful displays of work throughout! Very grateful for the opportunity to present a paper and I was delighted to be able to have such interesting discussions over the past few days!!

My siblings and I are all moved out of home but my mom still displays our christmas art that we made in school every year and it is so wholesome! My favourite is the christmas cards we made i n'gaeilge (in Irish) #gaeilge #nollaig #irish

I also like to read (for pleasure), going for walks/runs, and getting pints. I'm a proud Kerrywoman and I miss the views from my childhood home very much. I also miss my dog and the crisp tap water ☘️
