Today on the 19th anniversary of being married to my delightful husbean @tailsteak.bsky.social , the valve on our toilet blew out and almost flooded the bathroom.
Which oddly enough is not the first time our relationship has caused water damaging events. #IfIHadANickel

Every time we engage our pain or fear w/ compassion patience, acceptance, & realism, it makes a difference. It makes a dent in the neural pathways that drive our trauma responses. Our vulnerability to future trauma responses is diminished every time we have our own back.

Like a true Meb of genius, I managed to trip and hi-five possibly the only cactus in Southern Ontario. Thankfully missed any of the big spikes, but my right hand has been in tiny barb town since.
Been a slow annoying process of de-barbing myself. Primarily the thumb which took the brunt.
