Is Deathloop the game with the most wasted potential? I feel like it was one of my favorite games on current gen, but every time I look back at it I’m reminded of how much better it could have been. The decision for there to be only one solution to killing all targets seems so short sighted.

Dragon quest 3 2D-HD seems like a great game, but that $60 price tag is such a mood killer every time I see it. Especially now with Monster Hunter not far off, and Freedom Wars being available for $40.

If there’s one things game have to stop doing, it’s those half settings screens when you first launch a game. Why not just give me the whole settings menu? Why are some options and accessibility settings seem as not important enough to be presented there? Just give me the whole options screen.

Killer Instinct (2013) is the rawest game ever made and it’s not even close. And frankly, I don’t think it ever will be.

GTA IV is such a great game. I think the fact it’s so different from all the other GTA games in both gameplay and story makes it much more revisitable than the others. The sort of Happy go lucky nature of GTA V is good, but I hope they eventually revisit the darker more grounded tone of GTA IV.

I’m playing through Mass Effect 1 for the 4th time now and it still always surprises me that part of a renegade playthrough is being extremely space racist. The first game really leans into humanity’s newness to the wider galactic civilization as well as the first contact war.

I feel like the discussion of remakes has been completely twitterfied. I’m pro remakes and remasters, but I also believe they are fundamentally different experiences from the original. The FF1 pixel remaster is the best example of this. I enjoy them both, but they’re completely different experiences

Granblue Fantasy Relink is definitely one of this years hidden gems. It’s rare that I enjoy a licensed game enough to try the source material, especially if it’s a mobile game, but the story and gameplay hooked me enough to give it a try. Highly recommend for anyone who enjoys MMO style boss fights.

Granblue Fantasy Relink is definitely one of this years hidden gems. It’s rare that I enjoy a licensed game enough to try the source material, especially if it’s a mobile game, but the story and gameplay hooked me enough to give it a try. Highly recommend for anyone who enjoys MMO style boss fights.

Often times I find fans conflate historical value with general enjoyment and quality. Some games have both, some players can find enjoyment in the former leading to enjoyment to the latter. I think keeping things like this in mind leads to making better Video game recommendations and discussion.

I find game design documentaries particularly fascinating. You’ll go from hearing the most informative and innovative design philosophy followed by them reminiscing about how they didn’t have a design for the main character and just had the 3D modeler put himself as the MC.

It’s funny seeing people on Twitter be like “Lol Bluesky people will be back in a few days”
I think it’s safe to say many won’t fully abandon Twitter, but it’s nice to log onto an app and not worry about seeing blatant racism with 50k likes
