That is quite the treasure trove! Replacing those batteries isn't particularly difficult if you can find a repair shop or enterprising hobbyist. With any luck, you can convince them to replace the battery with a battery older so you can simply swap them out when they die again.

Assuming you like your current storage situation, you can transplant the storage devices to the new computer, then install fresh storage devices in your old PC and set it up with only necessary/free stuff. You get to keep your normal workflow while gaining a secondary machine.

I always found the "OCs are cringe" mentality absurd; the wonderful narratives we enjoy today started with somebody choosing to create something, and that first thing was probably "bad", but it was an important step.
We should encourage those steps, and improvement from there.
