Because I do believe it should be amplified- The commanders and military lawyers need to be advising them what is legal and what is not so that they take care of those men and women in uniform before they are blamed for bad orders that they have not given to carry out. That is demanded of them.

Most people in the military aren’t really given much on policy questions nor legal advice. They need JAG and their commanders to be in front of this

That’s not how the bottom of the totem pole should work. Commanders should be in charge of legal or illegal orders and the people under them trust their commanders. So they should take full blame
