Really loving Storygraph as it provides statistics on your reading! This is from my 9 read books this year (4 paperback, 3 audio). Just need to convince my friends to ditch Goodreads & join me over there now 📖#booksky

So cool my toddler now knows the city better than me, thanks to spending time with his apartment dwelling Mémé. As a result, today he showed me a pocket park I had never seen before. The one with the "silly seesaws" aka Hobson Wharf pocket park.

Really surprised to see wheel benders in Downtown out the Maritime Museum. Was fully expecting to see Locky Docks or at least bigger/higher bike racks. It's very challenging to lock an ebike to these (hence I reversed in and took the end spot).

Today I (my ebike) managed to carry: 1 x 3.5 yr old, 1 x kids bike, 7 x grocery items (including a tub of ice cream) & 12 x library books

This public transport enthusiast was very excited to be handed a customer satisfaction survey on the ferry to downtown Auckland this morning! I'm always excited to share my opinion on transport.

A rainy morning in Tāmaki-Makaurau and yet there's still 9 bikes on the Birkenhead ferry. I wonder if they are clocking in some last minute rides for #AKLBikeChallenge?

Nearly a year to the date that I got COVID for the first time, I've now got it for a 2nd time, and by the exact same way from attending a festival (in which I was outdoors majority of the time too).

I'm so impressed with the new cycleway to Glen Innes! From downtown Auckland to Glen Innes on a protected cycleway in just 30mins on an ebike. Great views and signage, water stops, a playground and even sleeping horses

@richardhills.bsky.social I'm loving the new Explore Group ferries to Birkenhead. There's so much space for bikes now, it's amazing not having to stress about being let on with a bike

Mr 2 was very excited to come vote with me because the voting place was next door to the playground, and he thought voting had something to do with boats

We got a bit wet there, but had a lovely, dry ride home.

So with all the sink holes popping up around Auckland lately, should I be worried about this one that's just appeared at the end of our driveway....?

I checked my Goodreads and these were my highest rated. It was a hard pick, there were a few others in there I enjoyed, including my last read "Everything Is Beautiful and Everything Hurts."
Lots of NZ authors too!

🇳🇿NZ Gardeners, what does my blueberry need? The one around the back is 2 times the size with green leaves, although didn't fruit last year while this one fruited last season. They are 2-3 years old.
My sage in the same bed is also suffering, but the strawberries seem happy

Spent the sunny morning out cycling. Saw quite a few others cyclists out, which is cool given there's no bike lanes where we are

Another day, another car parked in the bike lane

Yellow is my fav colour so I couldn't pick just one, my camera roll was full of mostly the little one and I wearing yellow.
