Major shoutout to local National Weather Service offices who have issued literally hundreds and hundreds of tornado / severe thunderstorm / flood warnings in just the past 36 hours alone. Most offices are doing this amid staff shortages.

This year I’m having Thanksgiving dinner on my own. Surprisingly, I’m not really down about it. I am going to make myself a nice meal and then possibly watch a movie. Lowkey, no stress, and no worrying about politics over a meal.

I need to get better at this. I will work for months to get through a book I don’t love. Something to work on in the new year!
You’re not violating a reading rule if you opt not to finish a book that's not resonating with you. Life is finite and we thus have a finite number of books to read. Reading shouldn’t be a chore. You needn’t feel guilty for ensuring that your time reading is spent reading things that you love.

So, people are really opinionated on ebooks and audiobooks and hard copies of books. I love them all! When I was but a young nerd in my wee early years and would save my babysitting money to buy books- I had no idea that we would be able to hold entire libraries in our hand! Oh, the wonder! #booksky
