The people who caved are not up for reelection for many years. Schumer and the eight who caved betrayed the party and its people. Morally, betrayal is as bad as what the GOP is doing. They damaged the credibility of the Dems and it cannot be restored. We need new options.

I don't know the motivation behind the policy proposal of 50-year mortgages, but I know the impact intimately. It means people would be in debt all their lives, always at risk of losing their homes, never free. It's an effective way to control people & a terrible idea.
