Hello, I'm an immigration caseworker at a local Citizens Advice Bureau. We help a wide range of people, free of charge, & are fortunate in that we can offer a holistic service in-house by being able to advise on any additional issues that may appear. I love raising immigration social policy concerns

Some positive news! The Home Office are piloting giving newly recogised refugees 56 days before they lose their asylum support instead of the current 28 days. Some concerns about the details, but 28 days isn’t long enough to find somewhere to live & another income

A desperately needed step here from government to redress enormous funding gap for legal aid!🙏

“We will increase money for legal aid above and beyond inflation to address the fact that it hasn’t kept up with inflation for years.”
