Daughter, sister, mother, widow, and grandmother. I was an RN for 27 years & served on the Portland City Council for 12. I live in beautiful Portland Oregon. I like Portland Thorns, Oregon Ducks football, gardening, and cats, not necessarily in that order.

I got a tip a few months ago that ICE was planning to use tribal airports for ICE flights. I spent a few hours scouring flight data, found no evidence of this, and let it go.

But perhaps they all just said no? If anyone has more info, hmu on signal at gbrockell.44!
The definition of audacity: ICE asking WA tribes to host detention centers.

They got a very polite “fuck off.”

Yay! I love Eastport Plaza. Westside has Washington Square for indoor mall, Eastside needs Eastport Plaza especially with Lloyd Center redevelopment. Portlanders need indoor places to shop and/or walk, especially now through Spring

At start, with many veterans retiring, Sophia out on maternity leave, Morgan out injured all season, they looked like preschool kick-n-chase. Caiya Hanks was the one bright spark then she was out for season. They pulled together and found ways to win. Thanks for joy @thornsfc @rosecityriveters.org

Tonight’s vote shows whether MTG really cares about health care costs for her constituents. On the other hand I’m glad she didn’t cave on the Epstein petition. Lauren Boebert too. Many (but not all) elected officials learn and grow as they serve. Always room for more. And even stopped clocks….

I question the premise of the conclusion of the article that Arnold will threaten Clark or Zimmerman rather than Green. Like the Don’t Rank Rene campaign, any incumbent can be voted out if enough voters don’t put a nominee anywhere on their ranked choice list.
Eli Arnold, a Portland police officer who ran unsuccessfully for the Portland City Council in 2024, will try again next year to win the same seat.
