This came up talking to residents out locally tonight. Please note the update below… This is an isolated incident that is affecting only one property and is thought to be internal to that property only.
🚨 Update on #Brockley eColi & water:

Guardian Reports of an E.coli outbreak are incorrect. Only ONE property is affected, likely due to an internal issue. Neighbouring properties have been tested—no E.coli found. Bottled water provided. Thames Water will address residents soon

And delegate outwards to local government, Sam…

We are the closest to our people and should be trusted delivery partners.
No issue with bringing in more outsiders to make govt more nimble but if they really want to make a difference they should start by massively increasing delegated authority.

Depts should be able to spend and staff more freely as long as it's within their budgets.

It was bitterly cold but a very warm welcome from Blackheath businesses.

Small business Saturday is one of the busiest trading days of the year. If we want to keep our high streets vibrant we have to support them. Thank you @vickyfoxcroftmp.bsky.social for coming and showing the village such love.
Had such a fantastic time touring Blackheath Village on Saturday to speak with local businesses as part of Small Business Saturday!

I first met with the owners of The Everest Inn, a fine-dining Nepalese restaurant.
