I personally consider the boycott a success because it was a baby practice action for people who have never done that before. People got on board! They got to feel what it was like! It was easy! And when they get asked to do something next, they’ll have an experience to build off of.

Dune Part 2 was better than the first in nearly every way, and Challengers was one of the best movies of the year. Actually insane that it was snubbed, even for score. #oscars2025

This is exactly what progressives said would happen and yet Biden/the Democrats chose to champion this ban and make themselves the face of it bc they care more about passing authoritarian policies like a TikTok ban than listening to their own constituents (none of whom wanted this ban)
Cool. Pro-Trump propaganda. This is such an unforced error on Democrats part. Banning this app was such an asinine move.

The reaction I’ve seen on here to the TikTok ban has been so disappointing. It’s not a dancing app for Gen Z. It’s a place for people to organize and share information. We should all be horrified that our government can simply ban something they can’t control. Do better Blue Sky.

I think it is important for freedom of assembly to apply to the places where people assemble.
I miss the days when people didn't consider having a social media account a first amendment right. Funny how attitudes changed when people discovered they could monetize these things innit
