"Government House is the official residence of the Governor-General...Government House is where Prime Ministers and Ministers are sworn in to office, international leaders are welcomed and where the achievements of Australia’s most outstanding citizens are officially acknowledged."

Ethical Collaboration for Documentary Impact Masterclass | An absolute delight to sit in on this class. Great discussions on relationships, the payment of participants, legal matters and duty of care. Check out the website for more resources. 🎬

This class at ANU was such an enjoyable experience. We tried sitting and walking meditations and practised bowing, picking up the cups correctly, and then we listened to a reading of some texts by Shunryu Suzuki. No photos from inside the room due to being present. 🍵

As soon as I finished this book, I wanted to re-read it. The social criticism would seem exaggerated if I hadn't seen similar situations in my own life either through work or through friendships.

My six year old surprised me with a request for a 'big Japanese breakfast' this weekday morning. I thought it looked pretty good and he complained about the lack of roasted fish. He's never been to Japan.

This week I had the pleasure of celebrating International Women in Cyber Day as a nominee for the Cyber Catalyst Award. It was a wonderful event held at the National Gallery of Australia by Canberra Cyber Hub and Fujitsu.

Japan Update 2025 at ANU - It was great to meet so many people working in Japan-related fields, as well as curious ANU students and engaged members of the local community, some attending outside of work or in retirement.

Ludwig Hirschfeld-Mack was born in Germany and arrived in Australia in September 1940, with over 2,000 deportees sent from England. The majority of the men on the ship were interned for up to two years in prison camps at Hay, then Orange in NSW and Tatura in Victoria. NGA in #Canberra.

I'm honoured to share that I’ve been nominated for the Cyber Catalyst Award for International Women in Cyber Day. This award is sponsored by Fujitsu and organised by Canberra Cyber Hub. I’m greatly looking forward to joining so many brilliant individuals at the awards breakfast.

I had a wonderful time in Perth attending the 2nd Asia Basava Convention for the Basava Samiti charity. I was honoured to receive two awards for risk management, and I especially enjoyed meeting in person many incredible individuals I'd previously only connected with on Microsoft Teams.

The cold smashed cucumber dish is widely available, but that was the only place I've seen it with mint. I've tried recreating it at home, but without that specific noodle soup, it just doesn't taste right.

I've been enjoying reading the Witcher books.🤍

"But what would human legends deal with? All around, wherever one looks, there’s greyness and dullness. Even things which begin beautifully lead swiftly to boredom and dreariness, to that human ritual, that wearisome rhythm called life."
