I promise I’m still working on art. I have four other cores done but I realized that all the baked goods are the basically same color. Of course I don’t have a lot of it either.

This was painted by my wife’s family friend for a favorite Hanover restaurant. It had been used for years on the face of the menus but that changed when new owners bought the place. They also moved the painting to be above the toilet. Art deserves better. “Lou’s” by Larry Howard.

I made a loaf with whole wheat grown in Vermont. I’ve seen improvement in structure finally. The whole wheat gave it a lovely flavor and I swear I can smell a hint of pine.

I finished up a couple of pieces today. My partner is starting a new job on Monday and I won’t have nearly as much time for art while watching my son full time.
I decided not to add anything moss to the oak piece.

The recipe I’ve been using for sourdough makes too large for one loaf while splitting it in two is too small. I added an additional half batch this time around and it made two perfectly sized loaves.
