I used to ride my bike to Radio Shack (with a cassette in my backpack) so that I could print out my homework on that big dot-matrix printer to the left. 🙂

This may be a dumb question, but is there anything about a gene gun that is inherently that expensive? I know it’s pressurized gas, so I’m assuming the cost is in the particle prep?
I’m just imagining a low-cost gene gun added to your repertoire of cool instruments.
