This is very serious finding. If states do not allow to kill wildlife who eat rodents there should be no need to use rodenticide. #Donotkillcoyotes

In a new 2024 statewide survey released by the CA Dept. of Fish & Wildlife, the powerful anticoagulant #rodenticides were found in the bodies of 95% of mountain lions and 69% of nontarget wildlife tested.

But as the range of red foxes pushes northward with the receding cold, Arctic foxes are abandoning these dens, searching for a new place to call home.

I fear this is indicative of less wolves are in Montana now. Yet quota this year is 26% higher & less restriction on method of killing.

Montana FWP reports on 12/31/25 the wolf mortality remains 90. Last year wolf mortality was recorded to be 133 on 12/31. Although in both year we do not know how many wolves were killed in the private land.
