Indeed! My great grand father immigrated from Mexico haha. Im like 3rd generation American on that side 🤣. My 23 and me looks INSANE. I promise you.

Its an opportunity for Mexican communities to remember and celebrate their family and their dead.

Too many people are comfortable lumping halloween and dia de Los muertos together and they are too distinct holidays (we aren't going to talk about what halloween used to be because...yeah). Its not scary. Its not an excuse to buy tacos. Its not for you to feel better about yourself

It was eating at me for a bit. And I couldn't but my finger on it, then someone shared a beautiful Mattel barbie and called it creepy. And the subtext hit me in the face. I hate this. I hate having to always defend my cultures and let them exist
