I’ve never been ashamed. I just never want to be in skin to skin contact with public transportation. That last pic is giving dough boy marshmallow man wearing a chef hat and neck bandana tbh.

Exercising masked is impossible? I read a book and called my mom. Skill issue. You can’t call masking weak while claiming you can’t breathe with a mask on. Grow up and think for yourself.

It’s not too late to start masking. Here’s why more:
Because the autonomy of Black people has been under attack for centuries. Because marginalized communities are at higher risk of acquiring Long Covid. Because none of us are free until we are all free. 2/2

It’s not too late to start masking. Here’s why:
Because medical racism exists. Because Black birthing people have high morality rates. Because environmental racism exists. 1/2

Almost nobody is ok with it. But was it on your local news today? If not, nobody is going to know about it in order to not be OK with it.

Ppl oppose almost everything this administration is doing, when they’re told what those things are. But most people aren’t!
I don't get how anyone can possibly be okay with ending the WHI. This study has accrued decades of data from 42000 women and it is still going. It helps to address critical research gaps that have been allowed to go unfilled because of durable misogyny and provides invaluable insight into aging.

In honor of Eastertide Rise and Grind to create a better world.

Do it again and again and again and again and again and again and again until your physical form can no longer. It’s our duty.

Exclusive: Days before masked ICE agents detained Tufts University student Rumeysa Ozturk to deport her, the State Department determined that the Trump administration had not produced any evidence showing that she engaged in antisemitic activities.
No evidence linking Tufts student to antisemitism or terrorism, State Dept. office found
An internal memo, prepared before Tufts student Rumeysa Ozturk was detained by ICE, raises doubts about the Trump administration’s claims that she supports Hamas.

I read the piece.
As a historian, my considered opinion is that you journalists, as a group, should stop writing about pronatalism in the 21st century, if you do not know enough about the histories of natalism, race science, and eugenics.
deleted og post because people on here were getting too mean for me to ignore. to reiterate, I think Liz's piece was good. (I think the dek was not great, but read in context with the piece, okay. of course I know many people won't read both.)

Kids sometimes develop serious illness from measles & die, & sometimes they’re left seriously brain damaged like my late sister Cathy. She lived with complex schizophrenia & epilepsy after measles at 18 months. Cathy survived a very challenging life until she was 60. Pls get vaccinated for the kids
Hi, I’m God.

A child’s “right to life” should include the right not to die from measles.

This is my “daughter of a Black Panther breakfast program volunteer” coming out but anyone who tells you that you have to be public about all your resistance activity should immediately be under suspicion for being an op, or being under the influence of an op

a good part of me thinks that in addition to everything else, the reason they are scrubbing these stories is they do not want disadvantaged kids to believe they can aspire to anything other than their designated “black” or “hispanic” or “woman” job
This profile has been scrubbed from the site. Rose Ferreira grew up without reliable electricity, immigrated to NY, then survived homelessness and cancer on her way to NASA. She was so moved by images from the Webb telescope she wept. This is what’s at stake

One small step that everyone should take is boycotting Lesser Evil snacks, as the CEO’s son is one of Elon’s dipshit teenage henchmen.
Yes totally cool that a 19-year-old who called his deleted LinkedIn "Big Balls," where he lists his experience working as a camp counselor can access the entire US federal payment system without anyone looking into his background, for instance, his Russian national close relatives or anything else
