TAAP Edgedancer Episode 3 spoilers without context:

The movie's tagline is "ONLY MONSTERS PLAY GOD," which is extra enough that I'm guessing it does in fact fit the vibes since it's del Toro. A....I actually don't know how to classify this image. TAAP Edgedancer Episode 2 spoilers without context:
A screenshot of the loading screen for an Assassin's Creed game - it looks like ACII on first blush to me. It's an off-white background with some computer-y geometry in the background. There's black text that reads "Inspired by historical events and characters. And with that disclaimer, we can clearly see that Assassin's Creed has never been problematic. Even a little bit. For sure. A promotional image for the British quiz show Mastermind. It shows a single uncomfortable looking chair sitting on a round dais with a giant M plastered in the center of it. Harsh industrial lighting shines down form above, and otherwise it kind of looks like a void. Honestly, this looks like the music video for The Arbiter. You know, the single released from the 1984 musical Chess about the Chess Referee that they made a music video for sung by Bjorn Skifs from Blue Swede. Sometimes these alt texts are just for me. A...cover? Promotional image? Some sort of graphic design for a song. There's a yellow background with a kind of wibbly grid behind a silhouetted man and woman dancing together. The band name at the top reads MEN WITHOUT HATS, and the song is of course called THE SAFETY DANCE. There's so much random stuff happening in this image, I'm fascinated. TAAP Edgedancer Episode 1 spoilers without context:

Mark Hamill is in a military-esque uniform with a diagonal belt across his chest so you know it's series. He's got aviator sunglasses on and a hat. He's standing on top of a car with a particularly magnificent scowl on his face. I feel like Mark Hamill would give good hugs. The logo for the Chicago Bulls, but upside-down. TAAP Hope of Elantris and Grab Bag episode spoilers without context:

The ones on the far left and far right are staring into the middle distance, as if they're looking toward the horizon to begin a quest. TAAP Shadows for Silence in the Forests of Hell spoilers without context:

TAAP Shadows post-book/Arcanum pre-book spoilers without context:
A meme that I have no idea what the original context is but one I thoroughly enjoy. It's a shot from Breaking Bad, showing Walter White (a bald man with glasses and a goatee) sitting in a slightly dusty black car and screaming through the window. I never want to know what the original context for this is. It's better in my imagination. A screenshot of a tweet and a reply. The original tweet is from Star Wars Holocron, reading: "Did you know? The Sith Eternal fleet seen in #Star Wars #TheRiseofSkywalker as created by Sith cultists on Exegol, who indoctrinated Exegol's popultion with Sith values and raised and trained their children to become officers, mechanics, and soldiers for the Final Order." The reply is from beloved actor Elijah Wood, simplyl reading: "no. how could we have known?" An icon at work. The logo for the band Coheed and Cambria, which seems to be...many layers of shapes. At the bottom in what looks like purple paint there seems to be a triangle. Overlapping with the triangle are three large circles, and in between the big circles are small circles. On top of all that in black lines are two interlocking triangles. Under all that, the band name "Coheed and Cambria." This kinda looks like something I would doodle in my notebook at school. An exterior picture of the Allstate Arena, a large building used for sports and concerts in Rosemont, Illinois. It's a large tan building with a blue roof, and large trapezoidal black windows. There are also a few doors and a lot of parking lot showing in the picture. If you squint at the left, you can see the highway with the one goddamn exit that you can take to get to this arena, which creates a nightmarish hellscape in the parking lot. If you attend an event here, make sure you pee before you try to leave.

TAAP Shadows of Self Episode 7 spoilers without context:

Just this screenshot out of context is not a very good representation of the test so I'm just gonna say if you know you know. A movie poster for Megalopolis, which is unsurprisingly so busy that I'm gonna have trouble describing it. It shows pictures of the wildly all-star cast in kind of an arc around the Crysler Building way off in the distance. Adam Driver looms over it all holding...a pickaxe? A hammer? Some weirdly shaped glowing tool. There are kind of fractured shapes around all of them and an eagle in flight at the bottom of the screen. And there, that's the most attention I will ever pay to this movie! A portrait of Gerald Ford. He's an older (shocking) white (what) man (amazing) in a suit (oh my god) sitting in a chair. He's holding pipe and has kind of a knowing expression on his face. I don't know much about Gerald Ford but I certainly would not have been able to pick him out of a lineup, I definitely thought this dude looked much different.

TAAP Shadows of Self Episode 6 spoilers without context:
A screenshot from one of the Sims games. I should probably know which one. As is customary, there's a Sim in a pool, clearly having a bad time. There are no ladders leading out of the pool, as they've certainly been deleted. If the game didn't want us to do this, they shouldn't have made it a fun animation for the Grim Reaper to show up when Sims die. That's all I have to say. A kind of alarmingly close-up picture of a thumbtack. It has a clear body and a pointy pin-part. The pin-part isn't quiiiiiite centered in the clear body, which is infuriating. Especially because I feel like there's an angle somewhere if you rotated the tack where it could have been centered. Why didn't they do that. A poster for Netflix's documentary series Cold Case. This episode is about The Tylenol Murders, and shows a pill container with red and white pills. One of the slots is empty, revealing a poison sticker. I wanted to get something just about the Tylenol murders in general, not this specific documentary but the only pictures I could find were like of the victims? Which feels a little ghoulish to post and also hopefully not something that's just recognizable on sight. A painting depicting the Greek myth of the Sword of Damocles. It shows a rich throne room, covered in fine fabrics and beautiful vases and statues and whatnot. Several courtiers are in the background. There's also a sword hovering in the air over one dude's head, and he looks appropriately freaked out by the sword hovering over his head. In beautiful Papyrus font, it's labeled as "THE SWORD OF DAMOCLES."

A weirdly photoshopped together picture of a rage room. Against a gray background, there's a pile of smashed trash and junk. 3 old TVs with broken screens sit on top of the pile. TAAP Shadows of Self Episode 4 spoilers without context:
A map showing a portion of the city of Chicago. It's a very simple map, just showing streets, the river, and some green spaces throughout. It has highlighted Lincoln Avenue with a black box, showing that it's a nightmarish diagonal line through an otherwise very beautiful, orderly, grid. Look at the intersections it creates. I'm furious just looking at it. A screenshot from an Assassin's Creed game. it's one of the later ones so I can't tell which one because I haven't played any of them beyond 3. It shows an assassin standing on a walltop, locked in on two guards below. The mission is stated to be, in the top right corner, "Eavesdrop on the guards." Embarrassingly I really was trying to get a picture from AC1 and those specific eavesdrop missions but my phone refuses to download images from wiki sites and that's all Google was giving me. A still from a Mythbusters episode. It shows Adam Savage in a black swimsuit, complete with swim cap and Googles. He's crouched in a pit covered with a tarp, ready to swim through whatever liquid he's crouched in. Spoiler alert: it's syrup. He's swimming through syrup. I love this show. Neither of them particularly look like they want to be taking this picture. And they're in kind of a weird black void space. Clearly it's just weird enough to make me absolutely love it.

Not that most impressive illusion, I've seen better in my day. In my illustrious career as a Magic Eye Interpreter. My fellow Interpreters sound off in the chat. A picture of Dogma Jesus, also known as Buddy Christ. It's a statue of the common interpretation of Jesus (white guy, beard, long brown hair), but with one arm doing a finger-gun and the other doing a thumbs up with a smirk and a wink. Apparently it's from a Kevin Smith film? And is also a meme?? Sometimes I just realize that there are corners of the internet I never experience. A picture of Post Malone, absolutely lost in the Magic the Gathering sauce. He's in a room with a pile of board and card games in the background, sitting in a chair, holding up a Magic card. His face is kind of a...smirk? Laugh? Thing? I honestly can't describe it but it's incredibly powerful. There's an aura to this picture that I can't pinpoint. Or maybe I'm just really tired.

TAAP Shadows of Self Episode 2 spoilers without context:
The poster for the seminal film Face/Off. It features one half of John Travolta's and Nicolas Cage's faces, helpfully labeled Travolta/Cage, floating against a black background. The tagline, floating in the darkness in between them, says "IN ORDER TO TRAP HIM, HE MUST BECOME HIM." Okay it's actually more like 3/5 of each of their faces? Like if you lined them up you would have too much face and that bothers me more than perhaps it should. A panel from a comic. Standing against a light blue background is a humanoid man, with orange skin, a purple bodysuit, and either weird tan bumpy sleeves or weird tan bumpy arms. His right arm is completely detached from his body and held over his head as he says "Observe as I detach my limb, and transform it into a deadly weapon!" Okay again with the things not lining up - there's a clear line on his arm where either the sleeve or the discoloration starts and that's not where his arm detaches! Why isn't it at the dividing line? A picture of hit Disney characters Chip and Dale. They're two adorable little chipmunks, distinguishable by each other by one having lighter fur and a pink nose and the other having darker fur and a black nose. They've cracked open a peanut and are sharing the goodies within. I have no idea what the origin of these character is, I feel like they just kind of sprung into existence and everyone knew who they were and I just had to smile and nod like I did too. That makes it sound like they're new, they've been around since the 40s. A still from the movie Age of Ultron. It shows Quicksilver (the Aaron Taylor-Johnson one), covered in splotches of blood that feel like they formed way too fast given how recently he was shot. He's saying "You didn't see that coming?" No Aaron. I did not. Because the movie established how much faster than bullets you are. Sigh.

Screenwriter (kinda, we'll get to it) states: "They had a couple interns just take all the pages and put them into a document, and then they wrote interstitials, and they slapped my name on it...This is the honest-to-God truth: the first and only draft of The Emperor's New Groove was handed in two weeks after the movie was in theaters." What an insane way to make a movie but I certainly cannot disagree with the product! A photo of a man absolutely committing to some jazz hands. He has an absolutely delighted expression on his face, and is leaning in. Committing I tell you. Under Fuck is a pointing finger and an "okay" finger. Yeah. Under Marry is a bride. Under Kill is a pistol. The pistol is kind of pointed at the bride which is a bummer for her. TAAP Words of Radiance Episode 23 spoilers without context:
A picture of the Mexican city of Teotihuacan, a spelling I absolutely butchered when I was initially trying to Google this. It shows a wide shot of a ziggurat-esque stone structure in an open plain. You can see leetle tourists climbing over it as well. If I start thinking about how old places like this are I start spiraling so let's move on. A promotional picture (I think) for the band Nine Inch Nails. It shows the five members of the band against a neutral background with...cords in the background? I'm not really sure what's going on here. The band's logo floats overhead. These guys all look wildly different but only look like they could be part of Nine Inch Nails. Which...which one of these people is Trent Reznor. I just googled what he looks like now and I truly can't tell. The front cover of the book Eragon. It's a gentle blue background, featuring the head of a dragon. The dragon has blue scales, pointed spines up its back, and two eyebrow sort of whisker things. He's looking kind of demurely into the camera. It's honestly shocking that I never read these books as a kid - there was a dragon on the cover, what stopped me? A still from the world-famous movie The Room. The protagonist whose name I truly don't remember, I just only know that it's Tommy Wiseau, is leaning back against his hands with a jovial expression. The weirdly large caption reads "Haha, what a story Mark!" I'm honestly impressed by how happy he looks, that's some Acting right there.
