Starting this year strong with one of the OGs, The Knight Before Christmas.

7/10 - plot firmly operates at the optimal level of daftness, strong cheesiness in the romance, but loses points as the side characters don't add much to proceedings.

Cupid Boards a Train is an instruction programming and dice rolling game of romance on rails.

8th Best Game Overall, winner of Most Original Theme, with strong results in other categories like Graphic Design and Best PNP files.

Fantasy Map Maker. A solo roll and draw game where it's all in the name. Played the new to me expansion of trying to draw a single continent over multiple play sheets. Found it a decent way to decompress in an evening, as long as you can accept drawing with whatever limited art skills you have

3) Brick Like This was my favourite game. While a prototype, if wouldn't surprise me if it sells millions of copies, combining easy gameplay with the commercial heft of Lego and Asmodee. It won't be talked about because it's not a gamers game, but commercially it'll be the most successful one

2) Playing games is about 50% of the enjoyment you can get from the Expo. From a vintage bus to badge collecting to angry-prize giving limes, plus all the jewellery, clothing and accessories stores, there's so many extras there

1) The kids and family zone felt bigger. From Dobble to Hatchette to loads of others, it was amazing to see so much space devoted to young boardgamers (and their grown ups). We were lucky to walk away with one of the few copies of Micro Macro

How do you sort them on your shelf? Alphabetically, by colour, or by the title's score in Scrabble? I fear any other sorting system would be heretical
